Number of Years at Reverence Studios:I have been dancing at Reverence for 12 years (since the very beginning!) Note from Miss Kirsten: Lauren was one of Reverence’s original 45 students when we opened in 2008! We are so proud of her for dancing all these years!

Classes Taken at Reverence Studios:Ballet, Pointe, Company

Favorite Memory of Reverence Studios/Teachers Who’ve Inspired:My favorite memory from my time at Reverence has been taking Company Ballet with Hope Noble. The girls in company were like my sisters and dancing alongside them was the best part of my week. We laughed together, cried together, endured Hope’s torturous conditioning days together, and made so many special memories. In company, Hope taught us so much more than choreography or good technique, she showed us what it looks like to be a woman who dances with Jesus through every season of life. Hope was an incredible mentor to me—Reverence is blessed to have such amazing teachers!

Alexis Shaffer

Graduating From:Homeschooled

Post-Graduation Plans:I have plans to work with my dad in the HVAC field. And I'm planning on attending college online. Note from Miss Kirsten: Alexis helped her dad fix the rooftop heating unit at the studio last year! Girl power!

Number of Years at Reverence Studios:I have danced at Reverence Studios for 6 years.

Classes Taken at Reverence Studios: I took intermediate ballet, (one year) advanced ballet 1, (three years) intermediate tap, (one year) advanced tap, (three years) and advanced ballet 2.( two years).

Favorite Memory of Reverence Studios/Teachers Who’ve Inspired:My favorite memory is during one recital we were all on stage and Miss Jade was supposed to come out and dance with us dressed as Jack Sparrow, we didn't have a dress rehearsal that year so none of us knew what to expect. When Jade came out and did her dance none of us could keep from laughing. To choose one teacher at Reverence that inspired me would be impossible. Every teacher at Reverence has inspired me in one way or another. Miss Chloe inspired me to just do it, even if it scares you, if you do it and feel it, it will look awesome! Miss Cate Cutting inspired me to always be myself. Miss Lindsay inspired me to not be afraid to be loud. Miss Hope inspired me to not compare myself to others and to use the mirror for correction, not comparison. Miss Jade inspired me to love the floor and use it more in dance moves. Miss Haley inspired me to step out of my comfort zone, in dance and in life.

Favorite Memory of Reverence Studios/Teachers Who’ve Inspired:I have so many memories from the studio it's hard to pick one that's my favorite. Honestly, being able to come to the studio today and do what I love has been the most amazing memory for me and every teacher that I've had has had an amazing impact on my life. Specifically, Miss Chloe, Miss Ashley, Miss Jade, and Miss Hope have always been there pushing me and encouraging me to do my best and become a better dancer.
